Obituary of John C. Adams

John Chambers Adams, 76, died at his home on Saturday, April 18th, 2015. He passed surrounded by loved ones including his wife of 27 years, Nenita Batman, his daughter, Carol Lynn Adams, and stepdaughter Cindie Duberson. John is the son of J. Forrest Adams and Ellen Barton Adams of Vineland, New Jersey, both of whom are deceased. He is preceded in death by his brother's Forrest and Carroll Adams, and is survived by his brother Donald Adams and wife Christine. John is also survived by his children; Dr. Carol Lynn Adams of Lawrence, KS, Lori Ann Sunday of East Concord, VT, and John Michael Adams and his wife Linda of Vineland, NJ. Son in law Mark Sunday is deceased. John also leaves behind his stepchildren, Cindie Duberson, Riz Lucas and her husband Albert Lucas, Riz Batman and his wife Susan Batman, and grandchildren Paige Sunday and Rhiannon Sunday (children of Lori and Mark Sunday), John Michael Adams, Jr. (son of John M. and Linda Adams), Daniel Eli James Adams (son of Carol L. Adams), Rochelle Epp, Jacqueline Duberson, Josephine Duberson, Brandon Lucas, Brandilyn Lucas, Branaisia Lucas, Jarod Batman, Kyle Batman, and Lyla Batman. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. John attended Vineland High School, served in the National Guard and went on to a successful career in a number of managerial positions. He will be remembered for his love for his family, his love of gardening, often growing tomato plants over six feet tall, and his love of his pet Yorkies. He also enjoyed traveling and remodeling his home. In his younger days he was quite the car enthusiast. John C. Adams will be greatly missed by family and friends. He had chosen cremation and will remain with his wife Nenita in their home. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ. The family has requested that any memorial gifts or donations be directed to The American Cancer Society (https://m.donate.cancer.org) or the ASPCA (ASPCA.org).
