Allan Leroy Townsend, 70 of Vineland, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Vineland. Born in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama, he was employed by Howard Johnson as a cook for 25 years. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Allan loved traveling and spending time with family. He is predeceased by his parents, John B. and Aura (Cedeno) Townsend and 2 brothers, John and Franklin Townsend. Survived by 2 sisters: Eleanor Townsend of Carneys Point, NJ Aurita Greenwood of Goosecreek, S. Carolina Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews Allan was a good hearted, quiet man and loved people. Funeral services and burial will be held on Monday at 12:30pm at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 9am to 10am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Family requests flowers and condolences to be sent to 268 Market St., Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
