Carlos M. Barreto, 66, of Vineland, went to be with the king, as Cerenity his 3 year old granddaughter would say, surrounded by the ones he loved on April 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his brothers Candelario (Cayo) and David Barreto and his parents Ramon (pa-pa) and Hercilia(ita) Barreto. Carlos "Pops" was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico but lived most of his life in Philadelphia, PA and Vineland, NJ. Carlos worked in sanitation at Progresso foods, Casa Di Bertacchi and retired from Aunt Kitty's. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding , loved animals especially Penny, Candy and Buster his dogs and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his two daughters, Carla Barreto, and Jeanie Lebron and husband Sam, one son, Chris "Moyo" Santana and three grandchildren, Buddy Lebron, Carlos Lebron and Cerenity Santana, Four brothers, Ramon (Moncho) Barreto , Miguel Barreto, Hiram (Jon) Barreto, Ramon (Cucho) Barreto and two sisters, Hilda (Lula) Barreto, Luz (Cuca) Barreto and along with many nephews nieces and other relatives. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30pm at the Higher Places Ministries, 40 W. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ. Carlos will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received at the Higher Place Ministries on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm and again Wednesday morning from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ.
